What exactly is Raindrop?

Raindrop is an OFX plugin for DaVinci Resolve that transforms your footage into cinema camera system emulations. It reproduces the complete optical and color science signature of specific camera bodies and cinema lenses, built from measured sensor data and real optical profiles. 23 presets across 7 camera and 4 lens families. Everything runs on the GPU.

What do I need to use it?

DaVinci Resolve (free or Studio) on a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Shoot in Apple Log 2 on your iPhone for best results, but Raindrop works with any log format including S-Log3, and any camera that shoots log.

Is this just a LUT pack?

No. A LUT only changes color. Raindrop is a 16-stage processing pipeline that reproduces the full optical signature of a camera system: color science, lens vignette, chromatic aberration, distortion, physically accurate bokeh with iris blade shapes, depth-aware halation, atmosphere, film grain, and more.

Will there be more cameras and lenses?

Yes. Signature packs with additional camera bodies and lens families are in development. Raindrop V1 ships with 23 presets across 7 camera bodies and 4 lens families.

What about the iOS camera app?
